Nun wird der Einfüllstutzen verschlossen. Schütteln Sie dabei den Kaffee in das Pad hinein: Es ist ganz wichtig, daß kein Kaffeepulver im Bügelbereich ist. Das Bügeln gelingt bei den ersten paar Versuchen am besten am Rand des Holzbretts, wenn die Kaffeefüllung “herunterhängt”.
Das Resultat sieht aus wie ein “Pad mit einem Ohr”. Diesen Überschuß schneiden Sie nun ab. Um das Pad dabei möglichst rund zu bekommen, hilft Ihnen entweder Ihr Augenmaß oder evtl. noch einmal die Pad-Schablone.

Not it’s time to close the filler. Shake the coffee into the pad: It is very important that there is no drip grind within the ironing area. During your first tries the ironing will be easier at the edge of the piece of wood, with the drip grind filling “hanging down”.
Now the result looks like a “pad with an ear”. You’ll have to cut off this waste. To get the final pad most possibly round, consult your visual judgment or again the pad template.
